Snapple makes limited-edition diet flavor a permanent offering

PLANO, Texas — Diet Snapple Trop-A-Rocka Tea, which was co-developed by Bret Michaels through "The Celebrity Apprentice," now is available nationwide.

The limited-edition flavor, which launched last year, blends green tea and black tea with pear, cinnamon and mango flavors to create a rockin’ taste with low calories, according to the company.

"Diet Snapple Trop-A-Rocka has been one of the best-selling, limited-time offers in Snapple history," Snapple VP marketing Regan Ebert said. "We’re proud to work with Bret to continue making this wildly popular tea available to Snapple fans nationwide."

Wolfgang Puck Iced Coffee expands retail distribution

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Wolfgang Puck’s iced coffee is making its way to Fresh Market and Kroger stores.

WPIC, an organic, kosher and 120-calorie beverage, will arrive in Fresh Market and Kroger banner stores this June. The brand, which was developed by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and Woodway Beverage Partners, initially launched in 2009.

WPIC is available in single-serve bottles and four packs, the companies said.

“The timing for the national rollout is perfect as summer is a prime time for bottled coffee drinks," Woodwat Beverage Partners president Craig Lieberman said. "We’re receiving daily validation from consumers that Chef Puck has created a terrific, low-fat beverage, which is a welcome alternative to the overly sweet or bitter taste found in other packaged coffee drinks.”

Talenti introduces new gelato flavor, eco-friendly lids

DALLAS — Talenti has expanded its lineup of gelato flavors and has updated its product packaging with recyclable screw–on lids for all flavors.

Talenti said that its gelato lineup now includes sea salt caramel, which features Argentine caramel (dulce de leche) exclusively made for the brand; Fleur De Sel, prized sea salt from France; and tiny chocolate-covered sea salt caramel truffles mixed in with every spoonful.

In addition to launching a new flavor, Talenti also has updated the packaging of its products by implementing eco-friendly, recyclable high-density polyethylene (#2 HDPE) lids for all its flavors. The screw-on lids were created for Talenti’s matching polyethylene terephthalate (PET) clear containers.

Consumers can find the sea salt caramel flavor and other Talenti products at major retailers nationwide, including H-E-B, Kroger and Whole Foods, at a suggested retail price range from $4.99 to $5.99.
