BugZip seals luggage, clothing from bed bugs

BY Allison Cerra

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Vantzen Products is looking to help travelers protect themselves from bed bugs with its latest innovation.

BugZip luggage and clothing encasements are made of heavy-duty, clear vinyl that resists tears and easily can hold large objects. How it works: Place your entire suitcase, garment bag or clothing inside an encasement and zip it securely. The specially designed, three-sided, bed bug-resistant zipper allows easy access to your clothing and belongings while "zipping" out bed bugs when they are on the move, Vantzen Products said. The product comes in four convenient sizes, is simple to use and easy to pack in your suitcase.

"Travelers don’t need to be scared, just prepared," said Adam Greenberg, president of Vantzen Products and inventor of BugZip. "BugZip allows you to protect your personal belongings while in your hotel room, preventing bed bugs from hitching a ride home with you."

BugZip now is available at select online retailers, travel goods stores, domestic merchandise retail stores, pest control distributors and hotel supply distributors.
