Smooth Gator launches 60 Second Pain Relief

ODESSA, Fla. — Smooth Gator recently launched its Smooth Gator’s 60 Second Pain Relief, a cream made with all-natural oils including wintergreen, aloe vera and eucalyptus.  

The topical analgesic, which also contains active ingredients methyl salicylate, camphor and menthol, is indicated for temporary relief of minor aches and pains of the muscles and joints associated with arthritis, sprains, strains, bruises, back and joint pain. The cream also can be used for pain relief caused by sinus, allergies, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, the company added. 

The cream is water-based for better skin absorbance when applied, the company added.

Nexafed gains national distribution

PALATINE, Ill. — Acura Pharmaceuticals on Monday announced that Nexafed, its next generation pseudoephedrine with abuse-deterrent technology, will now be stocked by Rite Aid.

Nexafed is a 30 mg immediate-release pseudoephedrine product that combines nasal-congestion relief with a unique technology that disrupts the conversion of pseudoephedrine into methamphetamine.

In September, the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse published a study that validates the ability of Nexafed to uniquely disrupt the extraction and conversion of pseudoephedrine into methamphetamine. The study also confirmed that Nexafed delivers the same efficacy compared to other similar PSE products.

Metamucil and Tony Danza to promote “Do More Than You Think” contest

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble on Tuesday announced it partnered with long-time Metamucil user and iconic television, stage and screen actor Tony Danza to help promote a recent contest co-sponsored by "The Dr. Oz Show" and the Metamucil brand. 

On Oct. 4, 2013, “The Dr. Oz Show” announced the “Do More Than You Think” contest in which Metamucil is giving consumers the chance to nominate their favorite health-and-wellness charity to receive a $100,000 donation. The consumer whose entry wins will also receive a trip to New York City to attend a taping of “The Dr. Oz Show.”

“Metamucil is a huge part of my health regimen and has been for more than 20 years,” Danza said. “I’m thrilled to work with Metamucil and give people everywhere the opportunity to recognize all that their local charities do in helping better the health and wellness of the community.”
