SleepRight adds nasal breathe aids to lineup

BY Michael Johnsen

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Splintek Health Products recently launched its SleepRight nasal breathe aid — a snore-relieving product entry into the nasal strip category that retails for a suggested price of $11.99.

According to the company, the product reduces snoring, relieves nasal congestion and is adhesive-free and reusable. Flexible flares expand the nasal passages to significantly increase airflow, while forming to the shape of the user’s nose for a custom, comfortable fit. Each breathe aid is reusable and lasts up to 15 days.

The SleepRight brand heritage is within the dental guard segment with a no-boil product that helps prevent overnight teeth grinding.

Honey Naturals employs social media on competitive product exchange

BY Michael Johnsen

SANDY, Utah — Honey Naturals last week started offering parents a free bottle of Zarbee’s children’s cough syrup in exchange for a Facebook photo of them discarding a competitive brand of cough syrup.

The exchange was launched in response to a recent C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital national poll on children’s health, which found 61% of parents of children ages 6 months to 2 years gave over-the-counter cough-cold medicines to their children within the last 12 months, despite a 2008 warning issued by the Food and Drug Administration against the use of OTC cough-cold products for infants and children under 2 years of age.

After posting that photo here on the Zarbee Facebook page, parents can mail a receipt for a reimbursement of the purchase. The promotion runs through Feb. 25.

Zarbee’s children’s cough syrup combines a blend of buckwheat and wildflower honeys with other all-natural ingredients to calm coughs.
