Rising Pharmaceuticals launches generic allergy drug
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — A subsidiary of Aceto Corp. has launched a generic treatment for seasonal and perennial allergies, the company said Tuesday.
Rising Pharmaceuticals announced the launch of flunisolide nasal solution in the 0.025% strength.
The drug is a generic version of Ivax Pharmaceuticals’ Nasalide. Various versions of the drug had sales of about $37.3 million in 2012, according to IMS Health, and the drug is the eighth generic launched by Rising in fiscal year 2013. Israel-based Teva Pharmaceutical Industries acquired Ivax in 2006, and production of branded Nasalide has been discontinued.
Snickers Bites from Mars Chocolate now available nationwide
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Mars Chocolate announced last week its new Snickers Bites are now available nationwide.
Snickers Bites are a new unwrapped candy containing the same combination of chocolate, peanuts, caramel and nougat as classic Snickers bars, but are shrunk down into smaller "pop’em in your mouth" cubes that are ideal for sharing, the company stated.
Mars announced the candy, along with Milky Way bites, back in October. Snickers bites are available in two pouch sizes: 2.83-oz. and 8-oz. sizes for a SRP of $1.49 and $2.99, respectively.

Beauty brand Vbeaute to expand into several Look Boutiques
NEW YORK — Beauty brand Vbeaute has announced its expansion into a handful of Duane Reade and Walgreens Look Boutiques this summer.
The brand will first launch at eight Duane Reade Look Boutiques in New York, one Walgreens Look Boutique in Los Angeles and two Walgreens Look Boutiques in Miami on July 8.
The beauty is known for its anti-aging skincare and lip products formulated with Swiss Alpine rose botanical technology, a plant praised for its ability to thrive in even the harshest of climates. The products are gluten, paraben, fragrance, and nut- and oat-free.
"We are thrilled to complete our initial vision of offering luxurious anti-aging skincare products with unique Swiss technology to all consumers at an affordable price point," stated CEO and founder of Vbeaute Julie Macklowe.
