Rihanna aims to ‘crush’ the fragrance competition

NEW YORK — Superstar singer, entrepreneur, model and actress Rihanna has unveiled the second fragrance in her namesake RiRi collection.

Crush by Rihanna has sensual woody notes paired with playful red fruits and pink musks to create a fragrance with a fun, feminine twist. A collaboration between Rihanna and Natasha Cote of Givaudan, the floriental opens with a vibrant splash of bergamot, juicy mandarin and vivacious pink peppercorn. At its heart, pink rose is accented with spicy ylang drizzled in the tangy sweetness of red berries; while creamy musk, cedarwood and sexy patchouli combine to leave a lush, lasting impression.

The bottle, designed by Rihanna, inspired by the original RiRi bottle, combines a sense of luxury and femininity. Its rich golden tones create an allure that is accented by a playful touch of pink on the outer box. The eye catching, luxurious jewelry-inspired pattern on the cap is alluring to the touch, and is carried through to the outer box to create a chic, high-fashion contrast to the bottle's feminine lines.

Crush by Rihanna will be available at Macy's and other major retailers in August for $60 (3.4 oz), $36 (1 oz), and $20 Rollerball (0.2 oz).

Coming soon: Celine Dion health and beauty products

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Iconic performer Celine Dion is planning to launch a new lifestyle collection in 2017 that includes beauty and other personal care products.

The singer announced Thursday that she has partnered with Epic Rights and Feeling Productions (Dion's Canadian-based production company) to launch the line in Fall 2017 over an 18-month period, starting with active wear, accessories, eyewear, beauty, and travel products and introducing new product lines over the following three years.

"We are all very excited to work with Epic Rights and Prominent Brand+Talent to develop a lifestyle brand that translates Celine's passions–family, music, performing, entertaining, fashion–into unique products and experiences for her fans around the world," explained Celine's Manager, Aldo Giampaolo.

"Celine is revered and emulated around the globe and as a result presents an exciting opportunity to retailers and manufacturers who will understand her vision, based on Celine's collective experiences as a mother, performer and businesswoman, and how to translate that into a distinctive and enduring collection of high-quality products and services," added Prominent's Principal Dan Levin.

Celine Dion has sold over 240 million records during her over 30-year career and completed four sold-out world tours. She has earned five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 20 Juno Awards (Canada), an astonishing 40 Felix Award (Quebec) and just received the "Icon Award" at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards event in Las Vegas, where she is in her 13th year of residency at Ceasars Palace.
