Report: General Mills revamps Trix yogurt
MINNEAPOLIS — Trix yogurt has become healthier, according to published reports.
The General Mills’ yogurt brand for kids, which is marketed under the company’s Yoplait yogurt portfolio, said, "moms will love that there’s no artificial color, artificial flavor or high-fructose corn syrup." According to a report published by the Pioneer Press, "[Trix yogurt’s package] says that Trix yogurt contains ‘natural flavor,’ but gives no additional detail And the carton prominently touts that Trix yogurt has "no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners." The report also added that as of January, the yogurt is colored with "vegetable juice, beta carotene and tumeric extract."

Mor boosts enhanced sparkling water line with new flavor, packaging
CHICAGO — Mor has expanded its lineup of sparkling enhanced water with a new flavor.
The company said its peach passionfruit flavor contains five calories per can and is infused with all natural fruit flavors, enhanced with a smart blend of herbs, electrolytes and vitamins, and doesn’t contain sugar, sodium or caffeine.
In related news, Mor recently tapped consumer packaging company Rexam to launch a redesigned package for Mor beverages, which now are available in 12-oz. Rexam Sleek cans.

Duncan Hines introduces Frosting Creations
PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Duncan Hines is looking to stir up dessert possibilities by unveiling a new proprietary frosting system.
Frosting Creations are created by pouring one of 12 flavor combination mixes — including cinnamon roll, cotton candy, chocolate mint, strawberry shortcake, chocolate almond, bubble gum, orange crème, mocha, chocolate marshmallow, white chocolate raspberry, cherry vanilla and caramel flavors — into a specially formulated frosting starter.
“Bakers are dessert artists, and the new Duncan Hines Frosting Creations line gives them an entirely new palate of colors and flavors to really elevate their creations,” said Stefan Aps, director of marketing for Duncan Hines. “The boundless creativity of our fans was a key inspiration for this product, and now they have an additional leg up to becoming the most creative and coveted baker on the block.”
Duncan Hines’ Frosting Creations frosting starter carries a suggested retail price range of $1.70 to $1.99 and flavor mixes carry a suggested retail price range of 89 cents to 99 cents.
