Prosperity Organic Foods touts Melt as healthy butter substitute

HAILEY, Idaho — Prosperity Organic Foods has kicked off an online campaign for its buttery spread.

Melt boasts itself as a "healthy substitute" for butter, delivering the creamy goodness of butter but with 20% fewer calories and no trans fat, the company said. The campaign is looking to boost the use of all natural Melt buttery spread as an ingredient in cooking and baking.

Melt can be found at supermarkets nationwide, including Fred Meyer, King Soopers and City Markets.

Inko’s new white tea drinks cater to schools

NEW YORK Inko’s line of ready-to-drink white teas has expanded to include two new flavors.

Poppin Punch and Bumpin’ Berry teas are an alternative to sugary beverages. Part of Inko’s line of 12-oz. can products, which were created especially for the school market, these teas are three calories less than the company’s award-winning line of low-calorie bottled white teas, which are sold nationwide. In addition, totally new graphic art, including a new logo, was created to appeal to a younger market. The beverages have been approved for distribution New York City schools.

"Since coming to market in 2002, our mission statement has been and always will be to bring the unique taste and healthy benefits of white tea to those who don’t want themselves and/or their children drinking sugar-laden beverages," said Andrew Schamisso, founder and president of Inko’s. "Outside of water, we’re fortunate to be one of the few all-natural alternatives for the school market."

Bon Ami turns 125

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A trusted household cleaner reached a milestone this week.

Bon Ami, which turned 125 years old, said it has relaunched to include an entire line of simple, effective cleaning products, adding such household staples as dish soap, all-purpose cleanser and liquid cleanser, all of which maintain its "green" claim. The packaging of Bon Ami products is 100% post-consumer recycled.

The brand quickly is expanding and now is available in Whole Foods, Price Chopper, Price Less Foods, QFC and other store locations nationwide.
