P&G retains Nielsen to track consumer marketing info
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. The Nielsen Co. has extended its agreement with Procter & Gamble to provide U.S. consumer marketing information and insights.
Under the multi-year agreement, Nielsen will provide P&G with marketing information and technology services, including retail tracking, insights on consumer purchase behavior, marketing analytics, and Nielsen Answers, Nielsen’s technology-based business intelligence solution. The goal: to help P&G better understand and develop new ways to market to its consumers.
Nielsen provides marketing information services to P&G in more than 65 countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
“At P&G we touch the lives of billions of people everyday so it is critical to understand what is driving consumer behavior,” stated Garry Terrell, section manager of U.S. Market Measurements for P&G. “We believe the continued collaboration with The Nielsen Company and the delivery of Nielsen’s Answers technology platform will enable us to access the data and research we need to drive business-building insights and innovation that both excites and delights our U.S. customers.”
Jennifer Connelly becomes latest Revlon global brand ambassador
NEW YORK Revlon has signed actress Jennifer Connelly as its new global brand ambassador, representing the Revlon brand.
She joins Revlon’s star-studded lineup of women including actress Halle Berry, actress Jessica Alba, actress Beau Garrett and newly signed supermodel and entrepreneur Elle Macpherson.
In addition to being featured in upcoming global advertising campaigns, Connelly will be involved with various company-sponsored philanthropic activities and fundraising events for charity. To date, Revlon has donated more than $65 million for research, counseling and outreach programs to support women’s health and participating breast cancer programs.
“Jennifer Connelly is a modern, dynamic and intelligent woman. She is an accomplished wife, mother and actress and her successes complement the spirit of the Revlon brand,” stated David Kennedy, Revlon’s president and chief executive officer. “We are elated to have Jennifer join the Revlon family.”
VO5 challenges consumers to out-flirt the competition
MELROSE PARK, Ill. Extreme Style by VO5 is urging consumers to express their individuality and out-flirt the competition through its new Ultimate Flirting Championship Live Widget.
- To achieve “Victory Hair” participants will be placed in a waiting room until there are three players for the game. Participants are either a flirter or a judge.
- Judges pick questions to ask the flirters. There are five questions per game.
- Flirters have 30 seconds to answer the judge’s question in a fun and sexy way. The goal is to out-flirt the opponent.
- In the end, the judge selects the best flirt of the pair. The person will win the game and get “Victory Hair” along with the judge. According to VO5, Victory Hair equals “the hair you get after you spend time ‘getting to know’ an attractive hottie.”
