Pepsi Max in search for most passionate fans

PURCHASE, N.Y. — Pepsi Max is looking to give two of its most passionate fans a lifetime supply of the beverage, the company announced Friday.

Consumers are invited to visit the brand’s Facebook page to submit video — 60 seconds or less — detailing why they deserve a lifetime supply of Pepsi Max. The "Pepsi Max for Life" video contest runs through Feb. 13.

"We already know we have great fans," Pepsi Beverages senior marketing director Amy Wirtanen said. "The ‘Pepsi Max for Life’ video contest is a fun way for us to get unique and creative content from consumers and reward them for showing their passion for the brand."

FRS announces Tim Tebow-themed giveaway

FOSTER CITY, Calif. — FRS announced that it will give away its FRS Healthy Energy drink in honor of its brand spokesman, National Football League quarterback Tim Tebow.

The first 100,000 consumers that sign up on the giveaway website, FRS.com/americawinswithtebow, will receive a certificate redeemable for a free bottle or can of FRS Healthy Energy at participating retailers nationwide if Tebow’s team, the Denver Broncos, beat the New England Patriots this weekend, the company said. What’s more, FRS also will offer a free ten-day FRS sample pack through FRS.com regardless of the outcome of Saturday’s game.

"FRS has been a believer in Tim since before his rookie year," FRS chief marketing officer Matt Kohler said. "His thrilling overtime victories, combined with a tireless work ethic, and charitable work are an inspiration. We are excited to share Tim’s healthy drink of choice with consumers everywhere."

Walt Freese named Stonyfield CEO

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Stonyfield has appointed a new chief executive.

The company announced that Walt Freese, CEO at Ben & Jerry’s, will join Stonyfield later this month and will be overseeing the organic yogurt company, including such brands and product lines as Stonyfield’s core organic yogurts, rapidly growing Organic Oikos Greek Yogurt, and popular product lines including YoBaby, YoToddler and YoKids.

The move comes as Stonyfield’s current leader Gary Hirshberg will serve as chairman and shareholder as he becomes involved in advocating for change in national food and agriculture policies, including the labeling of genetically engineered foods.

"In Walt Freese, Stonyfield gains a leader with a stellar track record at another values-led company," Hirshberg said. "Walt is well versed in fostering a sustainability mission in partnership with a global food company, and is deeply committed to Stonyfield’s organic and environmental missions.
