Omron to host Oprah’s personal trainer on Twitter
CHICAGO — Omron Healthcare will be hosting Bob Greene, Oprah’s personal trainer, Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Twitter at #FitWithOmron. Participants will have a chance to win an autographed version of Greene’s latest book "20 Years Younger: Look Younger, Feel Younger."
Omron Healthcare teamed up with Bob Greene earlier this year to promote walking as a way to improve health. “I recommend walking as an easy cardio activity to step up your fitness routine," Greene said. "A walking partner that’s with you every step of the way, Omron pedometers motivate and remind you to keep going.”

Report: Diplomat aims for $1 billion revenue mark in 2012
FLINT, Mich. — For the last several years, Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy has been widely recognized as one of the top privately owned companies in the country, but now it’s aiming even higher.
President and co-founder Phil Hagerman told the Flint, Mich., Journal that Diplomat is hoping to earn $1 billion in revenues next year. The company is expected to have more than $800 million in revenues this year.
Inc. magazine included Diplomat on its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies for three years in a row, ranking the company at 1,201-out-of-5,000 this year. In July, when Diplomat received Trade and Industry Development Magazine’s CiCi Award, Hagerman said the company plans to hire 1,000 people over the next five years and 4,000 people by 2028 in such jobs as nursing, pharmacy, information technology and call-center operations. Many of those jobs will be at its new headquarters, at Flint’s Great Lakes Technology Centre.
New initiative for GNP’s Mike Quick: Expand independent pharmacy base
VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a network of more than 3,700 independently owned and operated community pharmacies, on Wednesday announced the creation of a new position, with Mike Quick named as national VP, GNP development.
Quick will be responsible for securing new business and retaining existing customers through the expansion of Good Neighbor Pharmacy throughout the United States and Canada by facilitating acquisitions, ownership transfers, expansions and startups of independent pharmacies and small- to medium-size chains, with the goals of preserving and growing business through expanding the Good Neighbor Pharmacy membership.
Quick was part of the team that created the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network for Bergen Brunswig, a legacy company of AmerisourceBergen. Quick also has established partnerships between Good Neighbor Pharmacy and several university pharmacy programs.
“Mike will help Good Neighbor Pharmacy carry on our mission of supporting entrepreneurial pharmacy ownership," GNP president Mike Cantrell said. "His relationships with our current members and his work with pharmacy schools will foster an atmosphere conducive to independent pharmacy ownership."
