New Oscar Mayer sandwich combinations take aim at adults

MADISON, Wis. — Oscar Mayer is shaking up lunchtime routines with new sandwich combinations.

The brand has paired together 1-of-3 sandwiches — oven roasted turkey and sharp cheddar, southwestern style chicken and sharp cheddar, or honey ham and swiss cheese — with two wholesome snacks to deliver a meal that’s perfect for the on-the-go professional, Oscar Mayer said. Sandwiches are made with Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh turkey, chicken or ham and Kraft 2% milk reduced-fat natural cheese, and are served on a multigrain thin sandwich bun, which is made with 8 g of whole grains per serving.

"We’re always looking for ways to meet our consumers’ evolving taste preferences while also delivering products that are convenient for their on-the-go lifestyles," Kraft Foods senior director of marketing Joe Fragnito said. "We’re excited to introduce Oscar Mayer Sandwich Combinations to give consumers a new lunchtime option that’s quick, easy and also offers a diverse range of tastes and textures — from fresh tasting to crunchy to sweet — in one convenient package."

The Oscar Mayer sandwich combinations can be found in the refrigerated meat section in most grocery stores nationwide.

Dole gets peachy with latest fruit crisp

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Dole is expanding its line of fruit crisps with a new peach flavor.

The brand, which already boasts apple cinnamon and apple pear flavors, said the fruit crisps are packaged in portion-controlled cups and feature all-natural, bite-size pieces of Dole fruit and come with a whole-grain oat topping.

Dole peach fruit crisps, as well as apple cinnamon and apple pear fruit crisps, are available nationwide in the canned fruit aisle at major food, drug and mass retail outlets for a suggested retail price of $2.19.

Don Francisco’s gourmet coffee is available in 11 varieties of 12-oz. cans for $6.49.
