New line of home cleaning products hits Best Buy shelves
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Whirlpool Corp. is launching Affresh Cleaners, a new line of advanced home cleaning products now available at Best Buy stores nationwide.
"Keeping the kitchen clean has historically been a big chore, so we designed the new line of Affresh Cleaners to combat everyday spills and residue while making cleaning simple," said Wendeline Ortiz, brand manager of Affresh Cleaners.
The new line includes:
- Affresh kitchen and appliance cleaner: This citrus-scented cleaner safely removes everyday food spills and stuck-on residue from inside microwaves and refrigerators, as well as such small appliances as blenders, toasters and mixers;
- Affresh stainless steel cleaner: Plum-scented, this cleaner removes fingerprints, smudges and residue left behind from daily use; and
- Affresh cooktop cleaner, which works to effectively clean glass, ceramic and porcelain cooktops, and removes even the toughest baked-on residue, according to the company.

CVS Caremark announces expiration of tender offer
WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark has announced the expiration and final results of its previously announced tender offer for any and all of its $1 billion outstanding 6.302% enhanced capital advantaged preferred securities.
The tender offer commenced on Nov. 29 and expired on Dec. 7. Based on the final tabulation provided by the information agent for the tender offer, D.F. King & Co., holders of the notes tendered $957.7 million aggregate principal amount of the notes on or prior to the expiration date.
The settlement date for notes validly tendered on or prior to the expiration date is expected to be Dec. 8. In addition to the total consideration, holders of notes accepted for purchase will receive accrued and unpaid interest on those notes from the last interest payment date with respect to the notes to, but not including, the settlement date.
Mars Petcare partners with Rescue Bank
NASHVILLE — Mars announced that its pet care business has partnered with Rescue Bank to to enable more efficient delivery of pet food donations to animal shelters and rescues.
Mars Petcare, including Mars Petcare US, The Nutro Co. and Royal Canin, have teamed up with Rescue Bank, which "helps provide a reliable means for distributing wholesome, nutritious pet food that is approaching its “best by” date, benefiting both the manufacturers and nonprofit groups caring for pets in need."
