New La Roche-Posay moisturizer mattifies skin, refines pores

BY Antoinette Alexander

NEW YORK — Looking to battle skinny skin and enlarged pores, La Roche-Posay has developed the new Effaclar Mat Daily Mattifying + Pore-Refining Moisturizer.

For the first time, this formula contains a unique combination of ingredients that neutralizes shine for lastingly matte, clear and balanced skin with tightened pores, the manufacturer stated.

Effaclar Mat acts at the source to help prevent glands from secreting excess sebum. Sebulyse, a sebum-targeting active ingredient, enables the formula to more effectively minimize sebum from the start.

Effaclar Mat is to be applied morning and/or evening all over the face after thorough cleansing. It is oil-free, noncomedogenic and tolerance-tested on oily skin under dermatological control.

It has a suggested retail price of $31.99 and can be purchased at select physicians’ offices, select CVS/pharmacy, Ulta, Walgreens and Duane Reade locations.
