Murad taps former Guthy-Renker exec to serve as COO
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Skin care company Murad, whose products are sold at several locations, including Sephora and Ulta, has named Beverly Parsons as COO.
Parsons will report to general manager Richard Murad. In this role, Parsons will be responsible for procurement (purchasing, packaging engineering and quality control), as well as supply chain planning, distribution center operations and logistics, and information technology functions.
Parsons comes to Murad from Guthy-Renker, where she spent 15 years in various operations functions. Most recently, she was the SVP business integration. She also held the title of VP operations and was responsible for the operations departments, including purchasing, planning, international operations, quality control, inventory control and logistics.
Prior to her role at Guthy-Renker, Parsons served as operations manager at Ethel M Chocolates, senior manager of corporate inventory at Fingerhut Cos. and inventory management at CVN Cos.
Stiefel develops new Revaleskin HydraLift Complex anti-aging treatment
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company, has expanded its Revaleskin portfolio with the new Revaleskin HydraLift Complex.
Made with CoffeeBerry whole fruit extract, the anti-aging treatment is designed to provide polyphenol antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients to protect against oxidative damage, the primary contributor to premature aging.
The formula also contains glycerin, flowering yarrow extract, vitamin E, shea butter, retinol and glycyrrhiza gabra (licorice) root extract. These ingredients combine to boost moisture levels within the skin, help improve hydration and skin firmness and help guard against oxidative stress, the company stated.
A recent 12-week clinical study with Revaleskin HydraLift Complex showed a 113% increase in skin moisture and a 9% increase in skin firmness, the manufacturer stated.
