Murad names chief marketing officer
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Skin care company Murad has hired Elizabeth Ashmun as chief marketing officer, overseeing all global marketing including brand development, advertising, public relations, creative and education, for products, services and new market opportunities.
Ashmun will report to Richard Murad, global GM. She comes to Murad from Kate Somerville with more than 17 years of experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans for brand management. Most recently, Ashmun was VP of global marketing at Kate Somerville, where she helped the company achieve double-digit growth across all retail channels and expand internationally into Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Hong Kong.
Her experience also includes running the sugar confectionary domestic business at Nestlé and managing a portfolio of the company’s brands including SweeTARTS, Laffy Taffy, Nerds, Spree and Nips.

Provisor Marketing names new project manager
DEER PARK, Ill. — Provisor Marketing has appointed Brenna McPeek as a project manager.
McPeek graduated from Cornell University in 2013, and throughout her college and work experience has developed expertise in the marketing and publicity industries. She spent the past year as an editorial assistant at Viacom in their in-house advertising department, where she wrote promotional copy and provided support to the editorial team and head of the department. Over the last several years, McPeek provided support to Provisor Marketing on a freelance basis and is now joining the team full time.
Provisor provides service to brands at any life stage and works with brands across many categories, but its specialty lies in developing marketing strategies that aid small to mid-sized CPG brands. Its experience includes marketing and selling products in traditional, as well as specialty retail trade channels.
