Murad develops new Time Release retinol concentrate for deep wrinkles

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Murad, whose products are sold at salons, spas, Sephora and Ulta, is bringing to market in March its new Time Release retinol concentrate for deep wrinkles, featuring new technology that is designed to control the release of retinol over time for maximum performance while improving the stability and efficacy of the product.

Time Release retinol concentrate for deep wrinkles utilizes encapsulated retinol, which helps reduce sensitivity and irritation to retinol, and it is the first targeted deep wrinkle treatment from Murad. It is also the first product to use an anti-bacterial, silicone applicator in the company’s Age Reform line.

Ideal for those who need a concentrated solution for stubborn, deep wrinkles, the spot treatment formula is clinically proven to visibly reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles by 45% in six weeks, according to the company. This triple-action, wrinkle-fighting treatment, which has the highest retinol content in the Murad line, combines encapsulated retinol; Matrixyl Synthe’6, a peptide that helps rebuild damaged collagen to plump creases and crow’s feet; hyaluronic acid; and Ceramide-3.

Time Release retinol concentrate for deep wrinkles can be used with all Murad lines and in conjunction with other anti-aging products for an added, concentrated boost precisely where it’s needed. The silicone, antibacterial applicator tip allows for precise application and controlled dispensing to deliver concentrated power directly to targeted areas of concern.

Aroma Naturals launches skin care line

CERRITOS, Calif. — Aroma Naturals, a maker of all-natural candles, is launching a new skin care line comprised of beauty oils, body oils and body butters.

The new beauty oils come in three aromas: Orange honey blossom, Lavender passion flower, and superfruit passion fruit.

The body oils come in three different aromas: Tea tree eucalyptus, coconut and vanilla blossom, and menthol icy hot herbs. Each oil also serves to help ease difficulties with various physical ailments, such as breathing problems and sore muscles.

The body butters are natural moisturizers made of organic butters. They come in four different aromas: Aloe vera, cocoa, mango and raw coconut.

CCA Industries narrows Q4 loss

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Health and beauty aid company CCA Industries announced on Wednesday that it narrowed its fourth-quarter loss and saw a boost in revenues as it celebrated the launch during the quarter of its new Nutra Nail Gel Perfect UV Free gel nail color brand.

Revenues for the quarter ended Nov. 30 totaled $11.8 million, compared with $10.2 million in the year-ago period. Net loss during the quarter was $3,433, compared with a loss of $697,500 for the fourth quarter 2010.

"Fiscal 2011 featured the launch in the fourth quarter of the company’s new patented Nutra Nail Gel Perfect UV Free gel nail color brand," CCA Industries president and CEO Dunnan Edell said. "The results, so far, have been very encouraging. We believe through added distribution, advertising and promotional events, that the Gel Perfect line of nail polishes can provide significant results in our fiscal 2012 year. In addition, we expect overall growth of our other brands that will incorporate new strategies and innovative line extensions supported by multichannel advertising. We continue to have no debt and we have a ratio of 3:1 current assets to current liabilities which keeps us in a very sound financial position."

CCA Industries product portfolio includes Plus+White toothpastes and teeth whiteners, Bikini Zone medicated topical and shave gels, Nutra Nail nail care treatments, Gel Perfect UV free gel color and Scar Zone scar treatment products.
