MemorialCare Health System opens new clinics at Albertsons/Sav-On Pharmacy stores
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. MemorialCare Health System has announced the opening of three new retail health clinics at Albertsons/Sav-On Pharmacy stores in Huntington Beach, Irvine and Mission Viejo, Calif.
“We are pleased to have entered into this new partnership with MemorialCare, a trusted source for quality health care,” stated Sue Klug, president of Albertsons Southern California division. “This demonstrates how businesses like ours can collaborate with healthcare organizations to ensure the communities and families we serve have additional access to health services.”
The new retail clinics, called MemorialCare HealthExpress, are staffed by nurse practitioners and offer treatment for adults and children over the age of 2 years for such common illnesses as colds, flu, sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, skin conditions and minor wounds. Other services include vaccinations and annual flu shots, which currently are available.
“Our MemorialCare Health Express retail clinics make health care easier, affordable and convenient,” stated Barry Arbuckle, president and CEO of MemorialCare Health System. “These clinics expand the options available to patients and also link consumers to primary care physicians by helping them locate a physician if they don’t already have one.”
