Meals to Live arrives at retail
DALLAS — A line of frozen meals that caters to the nutrition needs of people living with diabetes has arrived at stores nationwide.
Meals to Live offers diabetics a variety of nutritious, convenient entrees in easy-to-read packaging that clearly displays relevant nutritional information on the front of the products. The line now is available at select locations of Walgreens, Randall’s/Tom Thumb, Raley’s, Brookshire’s, Ralph’s, Sprouts and Publix.
"After working with a number of diabetes support groups, I saw first-hand the frustrations these individuals face every day as they try to adhere to certain nutritional requirements and I was surprised to learn that there is nothing in the grocer’s freezer specifically for them," Meals to Live founder and CEO Cole Egger said. "Our meals provide a delicious, convenient alternative while meeting the nutritional needs of those living with diabetes, or anyone looking for flavorful, healthy meals."
Suggested retail price for entrees ranges from $3.99 to $4.99.
Peet’s Coffee & Tea introduces two new medium-roast coffees
EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Peet’s Coffee & Tea is bringing its Peet’s Café Solano and Peet’s Café Domingo to grocery stores.
The new medium-roast coffees are available in ground and whole bean form.
“We brought every bit of our 45 years of coffee craft to the creation of these two blends,” said Doug Welsh, Peet’s roastmaster and VP coffee. “The style is smooth and balanced, with an abundance of pure, sweet coffee flavor. In Café Domingo, a select blend of Latin American coffees, this is expressed in cacao and toffee tones and a clean, crisp finish. Café Solano bespeaks the wider influence of a world blend, with lively and aromatic notes contributed by African and Indo-Pacific coffees.”
Peet’s will be roasting the new medium-roast line in its Gold LEED-certified roasting facility in Alameda, Calif., the company said.
