Maybelline NY launches Illegal Length Fiber Extensions mascara

NEW YORK — Maybelline New York is defying the rules with its new Illegal Length Fiber Extensions mascara, which features fiber-extension technology for longer-looking lashes.

Maybelline New York has incorporated 4-mm black fibers into its formula. These elongated, dark fibers provide a dramatic length to lashes. Its exclusive Fiber Fix formula is designed to seal the fibers to each lash while the Fiber Fix brush catches each lash for optimal fiber placement.

“Illegal Length Fiber Extensions mascara is the answer for every woman who wants ultra long lashes” stated Carolyn Holba, SVP marketing for Maybelline New York-Garnier-Essie. “The incredible 4-mm lengthening effect provided by our exclusive formula and brush combination is unlike any other mascara on the market.”

The mascara is available at mass retailers nationwide beginning this month at a suggested retail price of $8.95. Illegal Length is available in five shades: washable shades blackest black, very black, brownish black; and waterproof shades blackest black and very black.

Celebrity Denise Richards to launch hair care line

NEW YORK — Celebrity Denise Richards announced on her blog on Jan. 2 that she has teamed up with stylist Cristophe to create her own hair care line.

“I’ve been hard at work on this project for the past few months and I am so excited to share it with you,” Richards wrote on her blog. “I teamed up with hairstyling guru Cristophe to create The Denise Richards Volume Extend hair care line, which strengthens and protects hair from the damage continuous styling can cause, boosting the hair’s health and volume.”


The line consists of shampoo, conditioner and three styling aids. The shampoo’s rich lather is the first on the market to actually condition the hair, and the advanced technology in the conditioner penetrates and plumps the hair shaft, increasing its diameter for thicker hair, Richards stated.

The line is launching later this month.

Goody to launch heat styling line at Target, Walmart

The Goody Heat Wave Creator styling iron features a wave barrel to make it easier than ever to create more natural-looking waves at home. The barrel features small and large waves, allowing her to create soft, natural wave styles more simply than with a traditional straight-barreled curling iron.  With ceramic and ionic technology, the iron promises to create smooth, frizz-free results. The suggested retail price is $29.99.
