L’Oreal Paris taps Billy B. as new consulting makeup artist
NEW YORK – L’Oréal Paris has announced the addition of celebrity makeup artist Billy Brasfield — a.k.a. "Billy B" — to the brand’s roster of experts.
He joins a roster of distinguished L’Oréal Paris consulting beauty experts including Tom Bachik for nail, Christophe Robin for hair color, Dr. Gervaise Gerstner for skin care and Johnny Lavoy for hair care.
With more than 20 years of beauty experience, Billy B. will lend his expertise for product development, consumer education and creating trendsetting makeup looks for L’Oréal Paris spokespeople.
His clientele includes top models, award-winning actresses and music industry icons such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears.
Whether Billy B. is creating a look for an event, an editorial spread or a music video, he pushes beauty boundaries and he’s passionate about inspiring others in the makeup artist community through his work, the beauty brand stated. Not abandoning his self-taught roots, Billy B. lectures and teaches both up-and-coming and established artists regularly.

NIP + FAB now available at Ulta Beauty, launches new products
NEW YORK — Skin and body care brand NIP + FAB, which originally launched in winter 2011 exclusively at Target stores, is now available at Ulta Beauty with three new products.
NIP + FAB is the latest brand to launch from beauty guru Maria Hatzistefanis , the brain behind the skin care brand Rodial. The skin and body care range is formulated to treat each area of the body that has special nip, tuck, and slimming needs.
The new products that launched in November at 500 Ulta Beauty stores include:
- Stiletto Fix – This cooling, soothing balm is packed with ingredients to cushion, cool and protect fatigued feet. The retail price is $9.95.
- Upper Arm Fix – This arm sculpting gel helps define the appearance of the upper arm area. The retail price is $12.95.
- 365 Body Glow – The very first self tan from NIP + FAB, this clear tanning gel is a fast drying formula that gives skin a streak-free natural golden finish within four hours. The retail price is $9.95.
New Phase+ skin care line battles diabetic skin problems
DALLAS — Personal care company Naterra has announced the national launch of Phase+, a skin care line designed to address the cosmetic effects that diabetes has on the skin.
Phase+, which is now available at all Walgreens stores, is infused with anti-microbial ingredients to help prevent such skin care problems as cracked heels and ultra-dry skin from becoming a larger problem for diabetics, the company stated.
Co-developed with a dermatologist, the Phase+ line includes such ingredients as gingko biloba and grape seed extracts to help skin heal and improve blood circulation.
