Little Tikes introduces indoor, outdoor building sets

NEW YORK — Little Tikes has introduced TikeStix, a line of indoor and outdoor building sets for kids.

The company said the line is for children ages 4 years and older and includes 30 to 50 sturdy interlocking pieces that fit little hands, fabric and clips.

The following Little Tikes TikeStix products now are on store shelves nationwide: TikeStix Playhouse: 50 pieces ($49.99); TikeStix Clubhouse: 50 pieces ($49.99); TikeStix Rocket: 30 pieces ($29.99); TikeStix Doghouse: 30 pieces ($29.99).

VTech introduces new line of baby monitors

BEAVERTON, Ore. — VTech is helping parents maximize their monitoring options with a new line of baby monitors.

VTech said its Safe and Sound monitors feature digital communication technology, which improves range, sound quality and reduces interference from other home devices, so that parents can easily hear sounds and see the images from the baby monitor. The Safe and Sound full-color video and audio monitor provides a full audio/visual monitoring solution that has up to 1,000 ft. of range between the camera and parent unit and includes a high-quality video resolution (transmitting up to 22 frames per second) on a 2.8-in. video screen with a 320 x 240 pixel display. The Safe and Sound line also includes the digital audio monitor, which also offers up to 1,000 ft. of range and features Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications 6.0 technology, which prevents wireless interference from other electronic devices and security from digital snooping, VTech said. VTech said the Safe and Sound full-color video and audio monitor carries a suggested retail price of $149.95, while the Safe and Sound digital audio monitor carries a suggested retail price of $39.95.

WD-40 Specialist line officially hits market

SAN DIEGO — WD-40’s specialty products for trade professionals now are available.

The WD-40 Specialist line — which includes the rust release penetrant spray, water-resistant silicone lubricant, protective white lithium grease, long-term corrosion inhibitor and rust remover soak — began shipping in September 2011 now is available nationwide.
