Keurig portfolio to expand with Eight O’Clock Coffee products

WATERBURY, Vt., and MONTVALE, N.J. — A leader in specialty coffee and single-serve brewing systems has partnered with a company known for its whole bean coffee brand in a new multiyear agreement.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters said Eight O’Clock Coffee’s namesake brand, as well as Tetley tea and Good Earth tea, will available in K-Cup and Vue packs for Keurig single-cup brewing systems.

Eight O’Clock coffee K-Cup packs will available beginning this fall, while Tetley teas and Good Earth teas are slated to join the K-Cup pack collection in 2013. Tetley will be available for purchase in the United States, while Good Earth teas will be available in the United States and Canada.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“This new relationship will provide Keurig brewer owners with additional choice by having Eight O’Clock coffee, Tetley tea and Good Earth tea readily available for their brewers,” GMCR president and CEO Lawrence Blanford said. “With this agreement, we are excited to once again deliver upon our promise of supplying unsurpassed quality, variety, and convenience in the Keurig system.”

Chip’ins rolls out new flavor

NEW YORK — Popcorn Indiana has expanded its Chip’ins line to include a new flavor.

Classic BBQ joins the lineup that already includes white cheddar, buffalo wing, sea salt and jalapeño ranch flavors.

Chip’ins are available in 3-oz. and 7.25-oz. sizes for a suggested retail price of $2.99 and $3.99, respectively.

Lindt introduces Lindor vanilla truffles

STRATHAM, N.H. — Lindt has expanded its Lindor truffles line.

New Lindor vanilla truffles offer Lindt fans the ultimate chocolate experience, the company said. Each truffle features a smooth melting, vanilla white chocolate center and a decadent white chocolate shell infused with real vanilla. The launch is in line with National Truffles Day, which is celebrated May 2.

"White chocolate, which continues to grow in popularity, and vanilla, a consistent favorite flavor among Americans, are truly the perfect complements to each other," Lindt master chocolatier Ann Czaja said. "We’re thrilled to provide consumers with the opportunity to enjoy a new variety of the classic Lindor truffle, especially in time for National Truffles Day."

Lindt Lindor vanilla truffles are available in 5.1-oz. bags at retail locations nationwide.
