Kashi introduces new Berry Fruitful, Blackberry Hills cereals
LA JOLLA, Calif. — Kashi, the natural food and lifestyle company, has introduced two USDA Certified organic cereals — Kashi Berry Fruitful and Kashi Blackberry Hills, both of which combine real organic fruit and whole grains.
Berry Fruitful features shredded wheat biscuits with a berry filling made with real, organic fruit, including Concord grapes, apples, raspberries and strawberries. Blackberry Hills pairs organic whole grain rice and wheat flakes with tangy organic blackberries.
"We’re excited to introduce two scrumptious additions to our growing list of USDA certified organic cereals that will make eating well easier," said Keegan Sheridan, natural food and lifestyle expert at Kashi. Each serving of Berry Fruitful provides 6g of fiber and 46g of whole grains, nearly 100% of the recommended daily value. Blackberry Hills offers 3g of fiber and has 16g of whole grains per serving. Like all Kashi foods, both cereals are free of preservatives, artificial flavors, colors and high-fructose corn syrup. The two new cereals also will carry the official Non-GMO Project Verified Seal.
Berry Fruitful and Blackberry Hills cereals are available at grocers and natural food retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.99.
Aquafina and ‘Project Runway’ invite aspiring designers to their ‘Aquafina Pure Challenge’
PURCHASE, N.Y. — Aquafina and Emmy-nominated "Project Runway" are teaming up to launch the "Aquafina Pure Challenge," a competition that invites consumers, including aspiring designers, to celebrate the pure essence of who they are by submitting an original Aquafina-inspired design.
"The Aquafina Pure Challenge" is inspired by Aquafina’s commitment to providing the pure water, perfect taste to help consumers feel their best every day. In collaboration with the Emmy Award-nominated series, Aquafina will provide a platform for consumers and fashion hopefuls to showcase the look that represents them at their best.
Beginning today through Jan. 8, 2013, contestants can submit a sketch, drawing or photograph of an original fashion design on Aquafina’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/Aquafina.Ten semi-finalists will be selected from this pool of entries and between January 11 and January 20, Aquafina’s Facebook fans will vote to narrow it down to four finalists. The four finalists will receive a trip to New York City, where they will compete in a live one-hour competition on February 6 in conjunction with the "Project Runway" finale during Fashion Week. In addition to gaining recognition among the esteemed "Project Runway" community, the Grand Prize winner will be awarded a $5,000 cash prize and a year’s worth of Aquafina.
