J&J to serve as global sponsor for 2014 FIFA World Cup
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Johnson & Johnson on Thursday announced that the company has entered into an agreement to become a global sponsor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, becoming the eighth and final FIFA World Cup sponsor.
With this sponsorship, Johnson & Johnson will be the exclusive and official healthcare sponsor, with the ability to promote across their consumer, medical devices and diagnostics, and pharmaceutical businesses.
"The FIFA World Cup unites people of all cultures, ages and socioeconomic levels like no other event, and we’re excited to tap into this passion and reach to further impact health and wellness around the world," said Brian Perkins, corporate VP corporate affairs at J&J. "Through this sponsorship, the company will be able to reach new professionals and consumers and deepen our commitment and connection to the people and communities we serve."
Through its engagement with the FIFA World Cup, J&J will provide access to its broad range of products and services — including vision, oral, sun, skin and wound care products — and encourage healthier lifestyles for football fans around the world.

J&J has a nearly 80-year history in Brazil, the company stated. Brazil also represents an important emerging market for J&J, providing a broad range of consumer, medical devices and diagnostics, and pharmaceutical products.
Bio-Cat, Deerland Enzymes join CRN as voting members
WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition on Wednesday added two voting members, both enzyme ingredient suppliers, to its roster: Bio-Cat, headquartered in Troy, Va., and Deerland Enzymes, headquartered in Kennesaw, Ga.
Bio-Cat sources enzymes for use in the dietary supplement, food ingredient, animal feed, industrial and agricultural markets.
Deerland Enzymes is an enzyme specialty formulator and contract manufacturer, and a leading custom manufacturer for dietary supplements.
CRN is the leading trade association representing dietary supplement manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.
Steeves-Kiss joins Schiff as SVP, chief marketing officer
SALT LAKE CITY — Schiff Nutrition on Wednesday named Jennifer Steeves-Kiss SVP and chief marketing officer. Steeves-Kiss joins Schiff from Procter & Gamble, where for almost two decades she helped build premium brands.
“We continue to implement our strategy to build a world-class nutritional supplements company by strengthening the leadership talent of our management team,” Schiff Nutrition president and CEO Tarang Amin said.
Steeves-Kiss, 39, has led consumer products marketing and brand management teams for the past 17 years at P&G. Most recently, she was the marketing director for Always and Whisper brands and feminine care innovation. In this role, Steeves-Kiss established the global team responsible for driving the $3 billion Always brand share growth and led the feminine care innovation pipeline development. She also held marketing leadership roles for the Charmin and Bounty businesses and was a key leader for P&G FutureWorks, tasked with creating new brands and business models for P&G.
Steeves-Kiss started her career with P&G Canada and holds a bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
