Jack Link’s turns up heat
MINONG, Wis. — Jack Link’s is combining its beef jerky with hot sauce brand Cholula.
New Jack Link’s Cholula hot sauce beef jerky delivers a blend of beef jerky with flavor and heat, the company said. The new product is available in a 3.25-oz. resealable package and carries a suggested retail price of $5.99.
"The combination of these premium brands and iconic flavors resonate well with our consumers and are a natural fit in quality and reputation," Jack Link’s Beef Jerky brand manager – innovation Kevin Papacek said. "Jack Link’s new Cholula hot sauce beef jerky provides consumers with convenience, satiety, protein and guilt-free snacking, all wrapped up in the flavor and heat of Cholula’s hot sauce."
Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta helps customers ‘mangia’ in less time
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Ronzoni is expanding its line of pasta with a new mealtime option designed for busy families.
New Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta, available in elbow, penne rigate and rotini varieties, cooks in just three minutes. New World Pasta, the maker of Ronzoni products, said the new line "offers families the wholesome home cooked meal they’re looking for and eliminates the need to reach for a take-out menu."
Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta can be purchased at supermarkets and Walmart stores nationwide for a suggested retail price range of $1.35 to $1.80 per 16-oz. box.
Sunsweet acquires Function Drinks
YUBA CITY, Calif. — Sunsweet Growers has acquired a maker of dietary supplement beverages.
Sunsweet said its acquisition of Function Drinks is part of the company’s ongoing action to help beverage brands enter the mainstream market. In line with the transaction, Sunsweet formed a wholly owned subsidiary, Disruptive Beverages Inc., which will house Function Drinks. Function co-founders Dayton Miller, who also serves as Function’s CEO; Josh Simon, who also serves as Function’s president; and Alex Hughes will continue to maintain leadership positions in the company, Sunsweet said.
