Goody adds new styles to its Ouchless hair accessories collection

ATLANTA — Adding to its current array of more than 100 different colors and styles, Goody has unveiled new technology and designer-inspired patterns, prints and hues for its Ouchless collection of hair accessories. 
  


Ouchless Velvet: Transform traditional elastics into a sophisticated accessory. These new, luxurious elastics are infused with plush velvet fibers to hug each individual strand of hair. Black Velvet is available at Walmart and Target in May (12-pack elastics, $2.99; five-pack headbands, $3.99).

Trend Collection:
These elastics and headbands are available in a range of on-trend colors and patterns from funky zebra-inspired stripes to bold tribal prints and glitter. Neon Zig Zag Swag, Glitterazzi, Boa-Tique Chic, Zebra Stripe Hype, Spot On! will be available at Walmart in May (30-pack elastics, $3.87; five-pack headbands, $2.99); Crown Jewel and Rock Star will be available at Target in May (29-pack elastics, $4.79); and Neutral Animal and Glitter Nights Ribbon Ties will be available at Target in May (five-pack, $3.99)

Designer Series: Elastics and ribbon elastics that look equally as fabulous in the hair or around the wrist, these specialty packs feature fresh-off-the-runway styles and shades inspired by the hottest

The Ouchless collection also continues to feature elastics that promise to care for hair and minimize snags. All elastic styles will be available at Walmart, Target, Walgreens and CVS. Ouchless headwraps will be available at Target in May.

Dr. Brandt Skincare develops new BB matte

NEW YORK — Dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt is bringing to retail a mattifying version of a coveted formula to market: BB matte.

Developed to treat, protect, mattify, and even skin tone, the all-in-one, oil-free beauty balm is designed to leave oily and acne-prone skin looking fresh and flawless.

  • Sebum-regulating marine extract: This synergistic blend of microalgae and seaweed extracts helps regulate oil secretion by inhibiting the enzymes responsible for sebum overproduction while reducing inflammation and preventing irritation; and

  • Skin mattifier: This soft-focus, non-caking non-creasing skin enhancing powder fades the appearance of imperfections like lines, wrinkles, redness and blotchiness. At the same time, the formula absorbs oil and creates a matte effect without drying.

John Frieda, designer Rachel Roy design Frizz-Ease mini kits

NEW YORK— Hair care brand John Frieda has tapped designer Rachel Roy to create a limited-edition case to hold travel-friendly Frizz-Ease product assortments.

Two Frizz-Ease kits will be debuted as a part of the designer’s Rachel by Rachel Roy line: one for straight styles, and one for curly looks. The two regimens will be housed in exclusive kits designed by Roy and inspired by John Frieda ‘s British heritage. Created to offer maximum frizz protection during the hot, humid summer months, the kits are a must for weekends at the beach or vacations abroad.

"Solutions are something every woman looks for," stated Roy. "Partnering with John Frieda to create an on-the-go kit that looks amazing and comes stocked with hair solutions was fun to do."

The limited-edition kits will be available on rachelroy.com in July 2013. Each kit will feature six travel-sized Frizz-Ease formulas and will retail for $38.
