Majestic Drug seeks to address this with their new product SenzAway Desensitizing Gel. SenzAway is clinically proven to eliminate sensitivity with a single use for up to three months, according to the company. Because this product has long-term efficacy, it allows consumers to whiten their teeth, use the toothpaste of their choice and eat hot and cold food without having to modify their habits or routines.

Majestic Drug president Larry Fishman said that this product is a value to consumers in terms of both effectiveness and price. “SenzAway sells at a lower price point and is three times more effective than other instant desensitizers,” he said.

SenzAway Desensitizing Gel retails for $5.99.

Sephora + Pantone Color IQ now includes lipstick, concealer

BY David Salazar

SAN FRANCISCO — Sephora is adding features to its Sephora + Pantone Color IQ foundation color matching service. Now customers can use the in-store tool to math the best colors of lipstick and concealer for their skin tone.

According to Sephora, the Color IQ device for lipstick uses image capturing technology in three directions to capture 27 images in under two seconds. The data from these images is then turned into a 100×100 pixel grid that composites the customer’s skin tone and assigns them a Pantone color number that can help customers choose the right lip product.  The same number can be used to find the right concealer shade.

The new complimentary services will be added to Sephora stores in September.
