The FRS Co.’s Healthy Energy line gets revitalized

FOSTER CITY, Calif. The FRS Co. has enhanced its ready-to-drink beverage line, Healthy Energy.

The single-serve drinks, available in 11.5-oz. cans, now feature a fresh new look and taste, containing the FRS-patented blend of the powerful all-natural antioxidant quercetin, seven essential vitamins and green tea extract. The newly packaged line is available in apricot nectarine and orange flavors sweetened with stevia, as well as low-calorie wild berry, peach mango, citrus pomegranate and orange flavors.

Wasa gets flat, crispy

CHICAGO Wasa is expanding with a line of thin, whole-grain crackers.

Wasa’s new thin and crispy flatbreads are available in original, rosemary and sesame, making them ideal for entertaining or as a wholesome snack.

"At Wasa, we take pride in offering healthy products made only with simple, all-natural ingredients that help people in their quest to eat well and live better," said Kirk Trofholz, president of Wasa North America. The new line is available next month in stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.99.

CandyCrate.com lists top Halloween treats among kids

HESPERIA, Calif. CandyCrate.com found that kids enjoy traditional candy for the trick-or-treating season, and also found that such specialty candies as wax lips and candy necklaces have gained momentum.

Just in time for Halloween, CandyCrate.com unveiled the top treats among children, with 84% of kids saying that candy and gum are their favorites. The top 10 traditional Halloween candy list included:

  1. Lollipops
  2. Tootsie rolls/pops
  3. Smarties
  4. Bubblegum
  5. “Fun-size” chocolates (with Reese’s peanut butter cups as the favorite)
  6. Pixy Stix
  7. Sweetarts
  8. Starburst
  9. Caramel candy
  10. Candy corn

Specialty candies that made the top 10 were:
