Extreme Truckers Show radio program to broadcast live from HTAA Healthy Trucking Summit show floor

ATLANTA — For the first time, the Extreme Truckers Show radio program, with host Rich Miller, will broadcast live from the HTAA Healthy Trucking Summit show floor, the Healthy Trucking Association of America announced earlier this week.

The special broadcast will take place April 25 at 7 p.m. EST and will be rebroadcast the next night during the show’s regular weekly timeslot at 10:30 p.m. EST.
 
The HTAA edition of the Extreme Truckers Show will focus on drivers’ health-and-wellness issues. The HTAA plans to unveil the full details on its the Healthy Trucking Driver Vitality Program during the broadcast.

The HTAA will also be announcing the details of the new free Healthy Trucking PAYS program that compensates obese drivers for losing weight. The HTAA will offer fleets in attendance a the Healthy Trucking Summit the opportunity to take part in this program and provide 10,000 drivers nationwide with a complementary doctor-supervised weight loss program.

This special episode of The Extreme Truckers Show will also feature a performance by The August, featuring Jacky Dustin, Healthy Trucking’s country music ambassador to the trucking industry, and her original song, “Big Wheels.”

Four ABC shows to debut first seasons on DVD

BURBANK, Calif. — ABC Studios is set to release the first seasons for four of its newest shows on DVD just weeks after their respective season finales.

Dramas "The River," "Missing" and "Scandal," along with comedy "GCB," will be released in May/June. Each season one DVD collection will include exclusive bonus features, deleted scenes, blooper reels and featurettes from favorite characters.

Slated to be released May 22, the complete first season of "The River" includes eight episodes and carries a suggested retail price of $29.99. The first seasons of "GCB" and "Missing" each include 10 episodes, carry a suggested retail price of $39.99 and will hit retail June 12. The first season of "Scandal," which also debuts June 12, includes seven episodes and carries a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Keeping pet products ‘real simple’ at Target

NEW YORK — Real Simple has rolled out a limited-edition line of licensed pet products.

The 23-product collection exclusively will be sold at Target stores nationwide through June. The collection includes:

  • Pet Bowls with removable metal food and water dishes, which includes an air-tight press-down lid that seals food to keep it fresh and portable;

  • Dry Food Scoop with 0.75-cup and 1-cup measurements, and feeding instructions;

  • Food storage bins with metal pop-top holders and dry food scoop;

  • LED light pet collar charm and ID tag with 1.25-in. diameter plastic LED charm and two light settings;

  • Pet toy organizer which folds flat for easy storage; and

  • LED light solar leash and collar, which allows pets to play outside from day-to-night. The LED light is rechargeable by USB and solar power.

The collection is priced from $4.99 to $29.99.
