Eosera launches single-dose earwax impaction solution

BY Michael Johnsen

INDIANAPOLIS — Eosera last week introduced a new earwax impaction solution, called EarwaxMD, to hearing aid centers and audiologists to help improve hearing aid performance.

The new earwax impaction solution dissolve waxs blockage in a single dosage, the company noted. '

“We know that Earwax MD will help people worldwide with earwax impaction, especially those who are more prone to the condition such as the elderly and hearing aid users," stated Elyse Dickerson, CEO Eosera. By bringing this novel innovation to market, our goal is to improve the lives of both doctors and patients by saving people time and money. Patients can now proactively clean their ears at home which means less visits to the doctor for earwax removal. Instead of having to dig out earwax, audiologists and hearing aid centers can now fit patients for hearing aids in one visit.”
.
In addition to hearing aid centers, the product will be available on Amazon in mid-April, Dickerson reported.

In a clinical evaluation of Earwax MD, a total of 30 ears with moderate to severe earwax impaction were tested. A single application of Earwax MD (consisting of up to two doses) not only fully cleared the impaction in 86% of test subjects but also reduced symptoms by a remarkable 82%, Eosera reported.

Common symptoms of earwax impaction include a feeling of fullness, itching, ringing of the ears and hearing loss.

Carter-Reed introduces new probiotic IBS Relief

BY Michael Johnsen

SALT LAKE CITY — Carter-Reed on Tuesday launched IBS Relief, a new dietary supplement, online and in stores nationwide. IBS Relief is formulated to help relieve stress and promote overall digestive health. With continued use, the product helps relieve abdominal discomfort, bloating, body aches and gas associated with IBS, the company stated, while supporting overall digestive balance and regularity.

"Having IBS can be a confining thing," stated Bodee Gay, CEO at Carter-Reed. "IBS can leave people feeling trapped. Day-to-day activities like going out to eat or taking the dog for a walk can become a source of stress. IBS Relief helps people take back more control of their digestive health — as well as reduce their feelings of stress — so that they're free to live life more fully."

IBS Relief contains several nutrients, including Bacillus coagulans, a probiotic that promotes several areas of digestive health, the company stated. Studies have found that unlike many other probiotics, Bacillus coagulans survives the acidic environment of the stomach so that it can deliver live probiotics to the lower digestive tract.

The suggested retail price for IBS Relief is $29.99 for a 60-count bottle.

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals expands distribution capacity with new West Coast DC

BY Michael Johnsen

NORCROSS, Ga. — Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals on Tuesday announced the grand opening for a new distribution center located on the West Coast. Operations are slated to begin as early as May to support the ongoing expansion and growth of Hi-Tech.

"This new facility will enhance our logistic capabilities and better facilitate our customers evolving needs," stated Dave Nelson, VP West Coast operations, Hi-Tech. "With the West Coast operation Hi-Tech will have 1-2 day service whether shipping by UPS or common carrier to most of the country."

Hi-Tech has distribution and manufacturing sites in Georgia and Pennsylvania already, and this will be Hi-Tech's third national distribution center. The distribution center will significantly improve logistics as well as meet the demand of the company's growing customer base.

The new D.C. adds an additional 30,000 square feet of warehousing capacity and contains future plans that will allow for expansion to double that capacity. "We expect roughly 25%-30% of our shipments to be made from the West Coast location, while [the remainder] would continue coming from either our Pennsylvania or Georgia corporate headquarters in Norcross, Ga.," commented David Bromwich, VP project management for Hi-Tech. The company will also have space available in our West Coast facility dedicated for future sales staff expansion.
