Ellen DeGeneres signs on as newest CoverGirl
HUNTS VALLEY, Md. CoverGirl cosmetics has confirmed that Ellen DeGeneres is its newest face, marking the first beauty campaign for the comedienne and Emmy award winning talk show host.
DeGeneres will be the focus of new advertisements beginning in January.

Her beauty and down-to-earth personality fit perfectly with what CoverGirl represents,” stated Esi Eggleston Bracey, vice president and general manager for global cosmetics at Procter & Gamble Beauty.
Bio-Oil announces new 4.2 oz. size
NEW YORK Bio-Oil, a skin care product that is made with PurCellin Oil to help diminish the appearance of scars and stretch marks, is now available in a larger 4.2-ounce size.
“Our experience in international markets shows users prefer a larger product size to treat not only the improvement of scar, stretch mark and uneven skin tone appearance, but also aging and dehydrated skin on the entire body,” stated Claire Gutschow, Bio-Oil sales and marketing director. “Based on this, and the phenomenal sales success of the 2-ounce size in the United States, the new 4.2-ounce bottle was a no-brainer.”
Bio-Oil hit the retail shelves just over a year ago and, according to the company, has become the No. 2 selling skin care product in U.S. drug stores, and the fourth largest skin care launch over the past year.
Its key ingredient, PurCellin Oil, acts as the delivery system for vitamins A and E, calendula, lavender and rosemary oils, and chamomile extract. Bio-Oil retails for $19.99 (4.2 ounces) and $11.99 (2 ounces).
Axe introduces Dark Temptation bodyspray and shower gel
NEW YORK Unilever’s Axe brand has introduced the new Axe Dark Temptation in a bodyspray and shower gel.
Axe Dark Temptation combines the subtle aroma of chocolate with fresh gourmet scents, including hot chocolate amber and red peppercorn. Fragrance expert Ann Gottlieb developed the new Dark Temptation.
The new fragrance, which hit retail shelves this month, is available in Axe Deodorant Bodyspray (4 ounces) and Axe Shower Gel (12 fluid ounces). Both have a suggested retail price of about $4.99.
