CVS Pharmacy, GSK Consumer Healthcare partner on Stand Up To Cancer drive
NEW YORK — To encourage smokers to quit smoking and support a good cause this September, CVS Pharmacy and GSK Consumer Healthcare's Nicorette and NicoDerm CQ are supporting Stand Up to Cancer to help fund cancer research. For every box of Nicorette or Nicoderm CQ purchased at CVS Pharmacy between Aug. 27 and Oct. 1, GSK Consumer Healthcare will donate $1, up to $100,000, to Stand Up to Cancer.
CVS Pharmacy MinuteClinic nurse practitioners also are available to share tips on how smokers can empower a smoke-free life and what they need to get there.
CVS Health has been a long-time supporter for Stand Up To Cancer, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, that supports innovative cancer research that gets new therapies to patients quickly to save more lives.
Earlier this year, Stand Up To Cancer and Rally Health launched a series of video public service announcements featuring actor and comedian Anthony Anderson, singer LeAnn Rimes, actress Felicity Huffman and actor and comedian Martin Short.

PharmaJet announces availability of quadrivalent influenza vaccine
OLDEN, Colo. — PharmaJet, the maker of needle-free injection technology, on Tuesday announced that shipping has begun for the quadrivalent influenza vaccine for needle-free delivery with the PharmaJet Stratis device for the 2017-18 influenza season.
"Adding a quadrivalent influenza vaccine to the already available trivalent vaccine offering with our needle-free delivery means healthcare providers and patients now have a choice of vaccines for the upcoming flu season," stated Ron Lowy, PharmaJet chairman and CEO. "Not only does needle-free offer an alternative for those 25% of adults that fear needles, but it also gives pharmacies and flu clinic providers a way to differentiate their flu immunization program, and a way to drive increased immunization rates and store traffic."
PharmaJet offers the only needle-free delivery system cleared by the FDA for administration of inactivated influenza vaccines, the company stated.
Lifelab Health introduces NuSyllium fiber supplement
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. — Earlier this month Lifelab Health introduced NuSyllium, a UDSA certified organic psyllium fiber supplement.
“The technology used in the NuSyllium manufacturing process – ‘Perfect Grind for Easy Mixing’ – ensures an easy smooth mix with water or the cold liquid of your choice,” stated Louis Machin, managing director at Lifelab Health. “Our goal is to provide a superior fiber that not only is 100% certified organic, but also gives consumers a pleasant experience when taking the product.”
Different from most other fiber supplements, NuSyllium’s 100% certified organic fiber blend is free of artificial additives, such as pesticides, chemical fertilizers, dyes, preservatives, artificial flavoring and artificial coloring. In addition, the supplement is GMO free, gluten- and dairy free, tree nut and peanut free and has zero trans-fat.
NuSyllium is available in two versions, including natural orange, which is made with natural citric acid flavoring, and unflavored. Both are made with 100% organic brown cane sugar.
NuSyllium Organic Natural Fiber promotes digestive health and regularity, including occasional constipation, helps lower cholesterol levels and promotes heart health, helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels and supports weight management by helping to feel full between meals.
NuSyllium started shipping to store shelves this summer and will be supported with a fully-integrated marketing campaign, including television, print, social media, sampling and digital advertising. Distribution includes ShopRite, HEB, Harmon and Wegman’s with a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a 72 dose count.
