Cutex develops new Advanced Revival nail polish remover

BY Antoinette Alexander

ST. LOUIS — Cutex has introduced Advanced Revival, which, according to the manufacturer, marks the first innovation in nail polish remover formula in more than 15 years.

Advanced Revival combines an acetone-based formula with natural botanical nourishing oils for stronger, healthier nails, the company said.

Cutex’s Advanced Revival nail polish remover is a patent-pending formula that combines the power of acetone with the strengthening and nourishing of natural botanical oils. The natural botanical nourishing oils begin as a liquid that conditions and then turns into a solid when exposed to air. As the oils solidify, the nails are strengthened and left feeling nourished and clean after the first use, the company stated.

Cutex’s Advanced Revival nail polish remover will be available for purchase at select drug and food stores and mass merchant retailers across the country this month.

Murad inks partnership with Los Angeles Dodgers

BY Antoinette Alexander

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Murad, whose skin care products are sold at such retail locations as Sephora and Ulta, has been named the official skin care partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2012 baseball season.

Murad will be providing skin care tips and sun protection advice along with product for the baseball team’s players and fans, with giveaways and promotions during all daytime home games throughout the 2012 regular season.

Through this partnership, Murad also will provide the club’s fans and team members with information on preventing sun damage, rooted in Murad founder Howard Murad’s three-pronged, Inclusive Health approach — topical, internal and emotional care. Murad’s Inclusive Health philosophy works to improve cellular health, which ultimately yields better sun protection through a stronger barrier function and healthier cells.

“As an avid Dodger fan, it is a privilege to partner with this legendary baseball team to provide education on ways to protect against sun damage, and the importance of health and wellness, both internally and externally,” Murad stated. “Many people view skin care as simply cosmetic. My hope is that through this partnership, we will be able to further change the way people view skin care, helping fans to realize that your skin really is an overall reflection of the state of your health and that sun protection is an essential component of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”

Murad also has been named the presenting sponsor of the Mother’s Day home game on May 13. During this game, Murad and the Los Angeles Dodgers will be giving away tote bags with a special Murad offer to the first 20,000 fans. For the third year in a row, Murad is partnering with the Dodgers to provide skin care and sun protection products to the franchise and its fans.
