Pacific Shaving Co. develops line of caffeinated shaving products
NEW YORK — Pacific Shaving Co., a manufacturer of natural, eco-friendly shaving products, has just launched its new caffeinated shaving cream and aftershave for men and women.
Caffeine is already a "go-to" ingredient in everything from eye creams to anti-aging lotions to concealers to moisturizers and now it has found its way into the shaving segment.
Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and antioxidant that helps reduce the appearance of redness and keeps your skin looking and feeling healthy. Pacific Shaving Co.’s products utilize the benefits of naturally derived caffeine from coffee beans to help liven up the morning shave routine.
"Caffeine is a versatile ingredient with many health benefits," said Stan Ades, founder of Pacific Shaving Co. "When topically applied, the benefits of caffeine can take effect quickly. With 50 mg of naturally derived caffeine (an espresso contains approximately 60 mg), Pacific Shaving Company’s new products are not yet likely to replace your morning coffee routine, but they will help get you going in the morning — while providing an exceptional shaving experience."
Boulder Canyon introduces ‘on-trend’ chip
PHOENIX — Boulder Canyon Foods, a snack food manufacturer, on Tuesday introduced Ancient Grains, a whole-grain snack chip that combines grains and seeds to create a healthy snacking experience, the company said.
Ancient Grains blends together quinoa, millet, chia, amaranth, brown rice, brown teff and sorghum to create a chip that is thin, but hearty, the company said. The chip is then seasoned with garlic, red pepper, cumin and topped with sea salt.
"Quinoa is on-trend these days, but truthfully, it has been celebrated for centuries for its nutritional benefits," said Steve Sklar, SVP and general manager of Inventure Foods. "When formulating the recipe for Ancient Grains, we sought out ingredients that, when combined, offered a rare combination of taste and nutritional value. We believe snack food fans will rave about this new snack experience."
Ancient Grains Sea Salt can be found in grocery stores starting this month with a retail price of $3.49 to $3.99 for a 5.5-oz. bag. The chips are certified gluten-free, Kosher certified and contain no genetically modified organisms (i.e., non-GMO).
