CoverGirl signs singer, songwriter and rapper Becky G

HUNT VALLEY, Md. — Procter & Gamble’s CoverGirl has tapped singer, songwriter and rapper Becky G to be the newest face of the beauty brand, appearing in national TV and print advertising for CoverGirl this summer.

The 16-year-old joins a lineup of successful and inspiring global beauties like P!NK, Sofia Vergara, Queen Latifah and Ellen DeGeneres.

In the months ahead, she will debut many looks from the brand’s new collection, including ones featuring the fired-up, volumizing CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara. Rocking the mic, her lips and nails will be in the spotlight showcasing CoverGirl Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm; and CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis, which are mini versions of Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in tropical, glossy colors perfect for summer.

In addition to appearing in national TV and print advertising for the brand, CoverGirl fans will get to know her via original content on the brand’s social properties like YouTube, which will give a glimpse into her life as a CoverGirl and rise to stardom.

NEW YORK — Palmer’s has partnered with R&B songstress India.Arie in the creation of Arie’s “Cocoa Butter” music video.

The first single from Arie’s upcoming “Songversation” album, “Cocoa Butter” represents the perfect synergy for Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula products and Palmer’s will appear in the video. The two plan to continue making music together on Arie’s upcoming tour, the manufacturer stated.

CVS Caremark, BPW Foundation partner to help women veterans, military spouses in career development

WASHINGTON — CVS Caremark has partnered with Business and Professional Women’s Foundation’s Joining Forces Mentoring Plus program to support women veterans and military/veteran spouses as they navigate the civilian workplace.

Through the partnership, CVS Caremark will enlist volunteer women employees as mentors and subject matter experts for women veterans and military/veteran spouses within the Joining Forces Mentoring Plus “high tech-high touch” online community.

Joining Forces Mentoring Plus provides free employment tools and connects women veterans of all branches, eras, ranks and military/veteran spouses with volunteer working-women mentors and subject-matter experts. The program, framed around “Working Women Helping Women Work,” meets these women where they are and helps them translate their military skills and build self confidence to find and keep meaningful civilian careers, or start and grow their own businesses.

CVS Caremark will enlist mentors from the company’s population of women employees across the country by tapping into their Colleague Resource Groups.
