Cesar launches Savory Delights
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Cesar has launched new canine meals that feature ingredient combinations and unique toppings.
The new Savory Delights lineup includes such flavors as: filet mignon flavor with bacon and potato; porterhouse steak flavor with peas and carrots; rosemary chicken flavor with spring vegetables; ham and egg flavor with bacon and potato; and rotisserie chicken flavor with bacon and cheese. As part of the launch, Cesar is hosting a weeklong Twitter event called "the #sharethejoy 10,000 Savory Delights Twitter giveaway." Starting Sept. 5, for each tweet that shares why dog owners love their four-legged family member so much and includes the hashtag #sharethejoy in their message to Cesar’s Twitter handle, @CesarCuisine, Cesar said it will send each participating tweeter two complimentary Savory Delights meals.

Gaiam debuts DVDs for yoga enthusiasts
NEW YORK — Gaiam has released two new fitness DVDs centered around yoga.
"Rodney Yee’s Core Centered Yoga" teaches users to have a better appreciation and awareness of their body, using the concept of opposition to strengthen underutilized areas and balance out others that they use habitually, as well as increase strength, flexibility, and coordination. Yogi Rodney Yee demonstrates how making small adjustments to body placement and positioning during an individual’s yoga practice, as well as performing opposing motions, can lead to a more balanced and centered body and mind.
The DVD features five different workouts, plus a downloadable meditation practice. "Rodney Yee’s Core Centered Yoga" has an approximate runtime of 50 minutes and a suggested retail price of $14.98.
In related news, Gaiam also has released Maya Fiennes’ "Yoga for Real Life." Fiennes’ yoga is based on the discipline, Kundalini yoga, which is a practice that fully engages the mind, body, and spirit, focusing on health and healing to improve the body through the use of its own energy.
Maya Fiennes’ "Yoga for Real Life" has an approximate runtime of 60 minutes and a suggested retail price of $14.98.
Talk-show circuit nutrition expert Samantha Heller to speak at CRN annual event
WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition on Wednesday announced that registered dietitian and health expert Samantha Heller will serve as this year’s featured speaker in the association’s "Breakfast with…" session at The Conference, CRN’s annual symposium for the dietary supplement industry.
"Samantha Heller is a respected expert in the nutrition field which is why she is so highly sought out in the media to serve as an expert on nutrition issues," CRN SVP communications Judy Blatman said. "We’re looking forward to her insights on the evolving world of journalism and how that affects industry."
In addition to her work as a practicing registered dietitian, Heller is also an author, consultant and media expert who regularly appears on TV news shows such as the "Today Show," "Good Morning America" and "Doctor Oz" and is frequently quoted in newspapers and magazines. She currently serves as the clinical nutrition coordinator at the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital in Derby, Conn. and hosts a two-hour live health program on SiriusXM radio.
She will discuss media trends in relation to the health industry and share her thoughts on the role of supplements in a person’s overall health and wellness.
The Conference takes place Oct. 3 to 6 at the Montage Laguna Beach in Laguna Beach, Calif.
