Broadway Nails debuts new French nail look
Nail care company Kiss is looking to jazz up the classic French nail look this spring with the launch of new Nude French Deceptions and Tip Tease under its Broadway Nails brand.
The Nude French Deceptions feature a softer white tip that blends in with the natural pink nail. The glue-on nails last for up to 10 days. The kit contains 28 Nude French Nails in 14 sizes and nail glue and comes in two shades: peach and pink.
The company also introduced new Tip Tease nails that feature a hot pink swirly-flower pattern over the white tip for a more creative nail.
Both nail products feature new packaging for the nail glue. The glue has a resealable screw cap for easy open and dry-proof storage. The formula now contains vitamin A, E and Pro B5 to promote natural nail growth and strengthening.
Both products retail for $4.99.
Burt’s Bees gets energy-saving conveyor belt system
RALEIGH, N.C. Burt’s Bees, a maker of natural personal care products, has tapped Tompkins Associates to implement a new sensor-activated Motorized Drive Roller Conveyor to improve efficiency and save energy.
According to Tompkins, the company has increased efficiency and elevated its energy savings. Energy usage is expected to decrease by as much as 40 percent to 60 percent.
“The environment is a priority for Burt’s Bees, and as we continue to grow, we are ensuring that we remain true to our commitment to the greater good in all we do,” stated Tony Quartararo, executive vice president of supply chain at Burt’s Bees. “With our new, more efficient operations and equipment, we are able to reduce the amount of energy we use and reduce costs at the same time. It’s a win/win situation.”
The company leased a 144,000-square-foot distribution center in Morrisville, N.C., and implemented new material handling equipment. The Tompkins Warehouse Control System, which includes a system backup and event logging, was also installed for better new material handling equipment control.
SoftSheen-Carson updates relaxer packaging
NEW YORK SoftSheen-Carson, a consumer products division of L’Oreal USA, has introduced updated packaging for its Precise No Lye Conditioning Relaxer.
The new packaging freshens Precise’s image with a sleek color scheme and layout and slimmer box, which saves on retailer’s shelf space. The package still has the signature periwinkle blue, purple and white. It offers the same number of applications across all SKUs: Two applications for twin packs and four applications in the economy pack.
The relaxer has the same formulation and the box clearly flags the “Same Patented Formula” and the number of applications included.
