Beef jerky gets a kick of caffeine
DENVER The Performance Enhancing Meat Snack Co. announced Monday the immediate availability of an invigorating caffeinated beef jerky combining premium strips of peppered beef with an energizing additive.
Perky Jerky contains roughly the same amount of caffeine found in two cans of a popular energy drink. Additionally, it is 90 calories per serving with 22 grams of protein.
Perky Jerky is the first ever energy jerky to be approved by the United States Department of Agriculture and it is already developing a grassroots.
More than three years in the making, Perky Jerky is a culmination of its creator’s quest to formulate the world’s best tasting beef jerky with a boost of energy found in no other jerky product.
Perky Jerky is flavored using a 100% natural additive derived from Guarana, a plant native to South America, and found in many energy drinks and herbal teas.
“We chose Guarana because of its smooth, reliable and predictable energizing properties. It’s an all natural way to give an energetic punch to the tender, peppered beef that we use to make Perky Jerky,” said Brian Levin, developer of Perky Jerky.
Campbell’s to make soup flavor ‘M’m! M’m! Better!’
CAMDEN, N.J. Beginning this week, the 25 million Americans who regularly enjoy Campbell’s Tomato soup can start eating healthier as the company rolls out new tomato soup with sea salt.
Campbell Soup Co.’s Tomato soup now will have 480mg per serving, the healthy sodium level designated by the U.S. government.
Adding a naturally flavorful sea salt to the recipe helped Campbell chefs to use 32% less sodium and ensure this healthy soup delivers the great taste people have loved for more than 100 years.
“Introducing one of our top-selling soups with less salt is a major milestone in our sodium reduction journey, especially when you consider Campbell’s Tomato soup is one of the top ten grocery items purchased each week and accounts for about 16 percent of our condensed soup volume,” said Denise Morrison, president Campbell North America. “Because it’s loved by millions of people, we took great care to make certain it still delivers the great taste people expect from their Campbell’s Tomato soup.”
