Annie Chun’s expands seaweed snack line

LA PALMA, Calif. — Pan-Asian snack brand Annie Chun's is giving moms more lunchbox options just in time for back-to-school season.

The brand has launched better-for-you Seaweed Crisps and new Organic Seaweed Snacks. The new snacks are perfectly portioned, low-calorie and tout the many health benefits of marine veggies—including vitamins A, B and C, a broad range of minerals, essential iron, protein and fiber—making them ideal for nutrient-rich snacking come lunch time, between class, or after-school.

"For a convenient and nutritious way to add delicious flavor to lunch time, swap out greasy chips or processed crackers for Annie Chun's new Organic Seaweed Snacks and our popular Seaweed Crisps, which combine seaweed with a brown-rice chip for a gluten-free crunch," said Nayoung Shin, head of corporate marketing CJ Foods.   • Organic Seaweed Snacks (SRP $1.99). Flavors include: Authentic Sesame and spicy Wasabi

Dole stirs up new better-for-you snacks

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Dole has unveiled its latest innovation when it comes to healthier snacking.

Dole's new Mixations snacks showcase combinations of fruit sauces and chunks of real fruit in four flavor pairings: Apple-Strawberry Sauce with dices of apple, Pineapple-Mango Sauce with Pineapple Pieces, Peach-Apple Sauce with Pineapple Pieces and Apple-Raspberry Sauce with dices of apple.

Dole Mixations feature non-GMO fruit, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial flavors. Plus, they are rich in Vitamin C and naturally gluten free. With snacking on the rise, Dole Mixations are an easy way to incorporate fruit into a snacking routine while satisfying cravings.
