American Heritage e-cigarettes now available online

LAS VEGAS, N.V. — American Heritage International, a manufacturer and distributor of premium electronic cigarettes, on Wednesday announced that its products are now available for purchase on the company’s website, AmericanHeritageOnline.com.

"Making our disposable premium electronic cigarettes available for purchase online is a significant milestone for us as it extends our American Heritage brand reach nationwide and gives more consumers the opportunity to experience our ‘best in class’ product," Anthony Sarvucci, CEO of American Heritage, said.

The American Heritage Brand contains four varieties of e-cigarettes: Platinum (24 mg), Original Red (18 mg), Emerald Menthol (9 mg) and Cobalt Blue (9 mg). Consumers have the option of purchasing a single pack for $9.95 or a value pack of three for $19.95.

Sears Holdings partners with FitStudio to offer reward points for walking, running

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears Holdings is encouraging members of its loyalty card program to incorporate movement into their daily lives and stay fit with a new program, the retailer said.

Sears announced the launch of the FitStudio.com "Points for Progress" program, whereby members of the Shop Your Way loyalty card program can register for FitStudio.com, connect a fitness app or device and earn loyalty points through physical activity. Members who join the FitIn14 Challenge can early 5,000 points, equal to $5, for every 14 mi walked or run in 2014.

"To promote and reward healthy behaviors, we integrated our our successful fitness community, FitStudio.com, with the popular Shop Your Way program to give our members the resources and incentives they need to get moving and stay fit," Sears Holdings SVP and president for fitness, sporting goods and toys Hugo Malan said. "We know this is the time of year that people put fitness first, and as a leading fitness retailer, we are committed to helping our members lead happier and healthier lives."

To promote the effort, Sears and FitStudio sponsored a fitness-themed Twitter party Wednesday afternoon, and Sears also is using the program to promote the fitness equipment it sells in its stores, such as treadmills, ellipticals and home gyms.

InMarket to pilot mobile coupon push offering in select Safeway, Giant Eagle locations

SEATTLE — InMarket is piloting its iBeacons offering in select Safeway and Giant Eagle stores beginning Tuesday, according to published reports. 

The small, low-power Bluetooth transmitters work in tandem with iPhones running iOS 7 and is part of inMarket’s Mobile to Mortar program, which will deliver saving incentives to shoppers and increase sales for vendors. The iBeacons will be installed at the entry of each store. When the app detects an iBeacon at the entryway of a store, it will push a coupon or other discount to the customer’s phone.

The initial rollout will incorporate 200 stores in the Seattle, San Francisco and Cleveland markets.
