American Greetings introduces Holiday Pics and Wishes
CLEVELAND — Taking traditional holiday cards to the next level, American Greetings has launched a new line of photo greetings on its website.
Holiday Pics and Wishes brings consumers’ holiday cards to life by allowing senders to customize their online greeting with everything from favorite photos and home videos to a personal holiday letter that reflects the handcrafted charm and thoughtfulness of a paper card, the company said. Once the e-greeting is sent, via e-mail or posted to a Facebook wall, the recipient will experience the thoughtfulness along with the customized features that make the presentation truly unique. Recipients also can print the holiday card portion of the greeting to display with all of the other cards they receive.
"We are always working to integrate the technologies we’re introducing online with the unique creativity of the greeting card aisle, and this program is a perfect example of how we can achieve that," said Sally Schriner, American Greetings Interactive president. "With the Holiday Pics and Wishes greetings we are able to offer consumers a really innovative way to bring their holiday cards to life while reflecting the subtle, personal touches that make the practice of card sending such a cherished tradition. Rite Aid brings joy of holiday savings to customers
CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid is offering customers ways to earn money back on purchases made from Black Friday through Christmas Eve.
The drug store chain said that its Gift of Savings program allowing customers to earn $5 to $25 back. Customers can earn a Rite Aid gift certificate of $5, $10 or $20, if they spend between $25 and $100 before Dec. 24. If $25 of the total is spent on photo gifts, customers receive an additional $5 certificate. To receive their gift certificate, customers complete and mail a form found at any Rite Aid store or go to RiteAid.com and submit information from receipts dated Nov. 26 through Dec. 24.
Also starting Thanksgiving week, customers enrolled in Wellness+ get Three Big Days to Save (Nov. 25 to 27), which gives members access to exclusive deals that generate +UP rewards, Rite Aid said. One promotion offered to Wellness+ members is weekly toy specials, in which enrollees can get a Toy of the Week at a week-long special price.
Additional ways Rite Aid is helping customers save big this holiday season include:
- Video Values program, which allows customers to print coupons after watching informational videos accessible through RiteAid.com, with more than $300 worth of coupons in November and December;
- The Single Check Rebate program, worth more than $1,000 back on select November and December purchases;
- The increasing reward tiers for Wellness+, which lets members earn up to 20% off most purchases every day for at least a year. Since discounts are based on cumulative purchase totals and reset Jan. 1, the 2010 holiday season is the last chance for members to lock in their discount rates through the end of 2011.
Rite Aid operates 4,700 stores in 31 states and the District of Columbia.
Stater Bros. extends Harvesting Hope in our Community campaign
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A regional supermarket chain is extending its charitable holiday campaign to help feed more than 165,000 people in need this Thanksgiving.
Stater Bros. Markets said it is assisting nonprofit organizations that feed the hungry by making a substantial contribution towards the purchase of turkeys. These organizations are located throughout the communities served by Stater Bros., which include San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and Kern Counties. The turkey program is part of the retailer’s annual Harvesting Hope in our Community campaign, which provides food and funding throughout the months of November and December to assist with hunger relief efforts in the communities where Stater Bros. customers and employees live and work.
