Allstar Products Group unveils Emery Cat board
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. Allstar Products Group has expanded its pet products line.
The Emery Cat board, designed to groom cats’ nails while they play, without the pain or the discomfort of traditional grooming methods. Each board has a patented emery surface that works like a nail file to painlessly trim cats’ nails as they scratch and stretch on the arch-shaped board. To encourage play, a cat toy and bag of catnip is included with the product.
“We created Emery Cat board as a safe, healthy grooming option for the approximately 90 million households with cats nationwide,” said Anne Flynn, VP marketing for Allstar Products Group. “At Allstar, we are dedicated to designing pet products that solve significant consumer problems at an affordable price.”
The Emery Cat board currently is available for $19.99 at PetSmart, Walmart, Walgreens and Target. Also available are emery board and catnip refills for $7.99.
Hannaford cuts the trans fats from private-label products
SCARBOROUGH, Maine Hannaford Supermarkets is removing artery-clogging trans fats from its private-label products, according to published reports.
The Associated Press reported Monday that Hannaford had removed the fats from nearly 300 food items.
The chain, owned by Belgium-based Delhaize Group, operates 173 stores in New England and New York and employs 27,000 people, according to its Web site.
Estracell Wedge Edge sponge now available at retailers nationwide
WALLED LAKE, Mich. Armaly Brands has expanded the distribution of its Estracell Wedge Edge sponge.
The Wedge Edge sponge, a multi-surface, no scratch scrub sponge that features a patent-pending, 30-degree angle shape that reaches deeper into hard-to-get-to corners and crevices, now will be available at such retailers as Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Spartan Stores, Publix.

We had reports from buyers telling us that customers were asking for the product which was really a key component in allowing us to secure additional distribution.”
