The National Association of Chain Drug Stores on Monday elected new officers, one new executive committee member and two new board of directors members for the coming year, including Alex Gourlay, co-COO of Walgreens Boots Alliance and president of Walgreens, who will serve as the new chairman of the NACDS board of directors. During a Sunday morning speech, Otto told NACDS Annual Meeting attendees how much of a joy and privilege it was to serve as NACDS chairman.
“I’ve enjoyed the chance to work with Steve [Anderson] and his team. Steve, you and your team are a fantastic group, and I think you are the best association around. I can’t say enough to praise you.”
