The Walgreens Health Guide has a pharmacy technician license and at least two years in medical training. While there is a station positioned in front of the pharmacy, the Health Guides more often are in the aisles helping patients rather than waiting for patients to come to them.



It may be more than just coincidence that Walgreens has decided to really blow the doors off of retail pharmacy in the same city that screams horsepower every year over Memorial Day weekend.

With the rise in people diagnosed with complex illnesses like cancers, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hepatitis, Crohn’s disease and rare genetic disorders, the need for specialty pharmacies to deal with the complex drug regimens they require will rise as well.
