The Daily Mail on Thursday reported that the plot of land where 19 women were hanged as part of the Salem witch trials - a place known as Proctor's Ledge - today overlooks a Walgreens location. "[We] asked locals where they thought [Proctor's Ledge] was and ever last one of them told us to go to this location," Wicccan Michele Ruscitti, who visited Salem in 2006 with her husband, told the New York Post. "I found it odd, since the town embraces their history, that there were no markers there. None ... just a Walgreens on the corner." (Daily Mail)

WebMD is in talks with potential buyers to sell all or part of its business, Financial Times reported Thursday morning, though WebMD denies that to be the case. "The digital company, which provides data and edcuational information about illnesses, has been in talks with a number of potential buyers, said people close to the company," FT reported. Both Walgreens and UnitedHealth have been mentioned as potential suitors. WebMD issued a statement later Thursday morning that "in light of recent news reports, the company is reporting that it is not currently in any negotiations to be acquired." (Financial Times)
