Sears Holdings announced on Tuesday that its Sears and Kmart stores are introducing an online/in-store collaboration to allow pick up of Sears.com or Kmart.com orders at any of each other’s stores — more than 2,000 locations nationwide — in five minutes or less.
Sears Holdings widened its loss during first quarter 2014 as it continues to move toward a member-centric, integrated model and invest in its Shop Your Way awards program. While progress continues, poor performance in its consumer electronic business and grocery and household items hampered sales at Kmart stores.
Pikato announced on Thursday the launch of its retail mobile marketing solution, which personalizes the customer shopping experience to increase consumer engagement and deliver measurable results. Sears and Kmart are the first companies to engage with the Pikato platform and have already seen mobile engagement rates soar 1,100%, according to Pikato.
