Sunshine State News is reporting that U.S. Reps. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., and Kurt Schrader, D-Ore., have introduced the Lower Drug Costs Through Competition Act, which is aimed at encouraging generics makers to develop generics of products with little or no competition, or for drugs that are in short supply. The bill calls for the creation of a Priority Review Voucher for generics applications filed for drugs that have no current competition.
