Lay's brand announced the return of its popular "Do Us A Flavor" contest. Beginning today, fans can submit their ideas for the next potato chip flavor for a chance at nabbing a $1 million prize. But with the return of the contest comes a twist.
PepsiCo and 7-Eleven on Wednesday announced the launch of two new food and beverage products for 7-Eleven customers. The companies are debuting Doritos Loaded and Mtn Dew Solar Flare, an exclusive flavor for 7-Eleven's Big Gulp beverages.
Cheetos and Doritos, two brands from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, announced the introduction of Cheetos Flamin' Hot/Doritos Dinamita Chile Limon Mix, which will bring a spicy-crunchy combo to consumers in a single bag.
Doritos and The Lonely Island announced a donation of $250,000 to the Berkeley Unified School District, located in Berkeley, Calif., as a part of their collaboration on the annual Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest.
The heat is on in the snack food aisle. “A lot of growth in the category is coming from more flavorful offerings, particularly in the chip category,” said Chris Clark, a spokesman for the Snack Food Association.
