The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is set to begin offering training for students looking to work in medical marijuana, the Baltimore Sun recently reported. The school is the latest among such schools as the University of Vermont College of Medicine’s department of pharmacology, which is trying to bring education to a growing sector in which pharmacists sometimes play a role. Magaly Rodriguez de Bittner, the school’s executive director of its Center for Innovative Pharmacy Solutions told the Sun, “If you're going to be dispensing, let's make sure your staff in trained in best practices to do it safely and effectively.” (Baltimore Sun)
